Here you can stay on the quay in the fishing village of Ballstad and enjoy the view towards Ballstad's mountain range, as well as birds, animals and the boat life in Vågen in Ballstad's harbour.The mountain range consists of Ballstadheia (275 m), Nonstinden (459 m), Munkan (493 m), Skottinden (671 m) and Breitinden (449 m).

Ballstad is a town with approx. 900 inhabitants, convenience store and several cafes/restaurants.
Fiskeværet has many hiking opportunities such as Ballstad hiking trail, Kyllingdalen, Høydebassingen, Gravfjellet (138 m) and beyond the breakwaters or in the mountains. It's nice to just walk the streets among fish farms and buildings.
Leknes is 10 km from Ballstad. Here there are various shops (pharmacy, clothes, food, liquor store and other), airport, taxi station, car hire, cultural center and several restaurants etc.
Gravdal is 5 km from Ballstad and has a hospital, emergency room and grocery store, etc.
